New Era

New Era is best known for its baseball caps, and it has been making them for over a century. Ehrhardt Koch, born in Germany, founded the company in Buffalo, New York, in 1920. From 1934 it made Major League on-field caps, which helped turn team emblems into hallmarks recognised around the world, the New York Yankees most of all. The 59FIFTY fitted cap is the one most people know, alongside the 9FIFTY and 9TWENTY. You'll find them on players, fans and streetwear regulars alike. The label also has a strong record of collaboration, with partners from Supreme and Helmut Lang to Off-White. It sells apparel too. In 2024, Dao-Yi Chow joined as Vice President and Creative Director, bringing a more fashion-led direction.
