Comme des Garçons SHIRT

Comme des Garçons SHIRT is one of the many offshoots of Rei Kawakubo's CDG universe. She introduced the line in 1988, when she began taking work shirts apart and rebuilding them with asymmetry, contrast and unexpected pairings. It is more pared back than the avant-leaning mainline, though it never fully plays by the rules. Today it covers a full menswear lineup: crisp shirts with off-beat tweaks, graphic or panel-cut t-shirts, patchwork pieces, sweatshirts and hybrid layers that shift proportions, often made in collaboration with designers. You will also find casual staples such as hoodies, cardigans and boxers, mostly in muted tones. Small disruptions are the idea, and that balance is the charm.
