Stone Island
Stone Island is an Italian brand founded in 1982 by designer Massimo Osti, and it has spent the decades since pushing garment technology forward. Its name rests on research into fibres, fabrics and dyeing, with special dyeing techniques still part of the work today. The designs draw on archival military and workwear garments, and seafaring too, which you can still see in the compass rose on the logo badge. Every pocket, hood and silhouette is meant to earn its place. Stone Island built a cult following among fashion fans and several subcultures, from European football fans to British grime artists, and collaborations with Supreme and NikeLab introduced it to a newer streetwear crowd. Expect jackets, sweatshirts, trousers, t-shirts, beanies and accessories.
