By Parra is the clothing label of Amsterdam artist Pieter Parra Janssen, better known as Piet Parra. His work is easy to spot: curved figures, hand-drawn lettering, surreal characters and saturated colour, with a signature red, white and blue palette. The label draws on rave flyers and obscure '90s design, and it grew out of art, music and skate culture, which Parra knows first-hand as a passionate skater. Expect t-shirts, hoodies, shorts, jackets, hats and logo caps, built around custom silhouettes and silk-screen prints. Classic skate shapes get playful, offbeat graphics. The popular Paraboots sit alongside the clothing. Parra's art also turns up on sneakers, including the Nike Air Max 1 'Amsterdam'.
