KEEN began in 2003 with a simple idea: a sandal tough enough to guard your toes. That became the Newport, a chunky, water-ready sandal that set the brand's course. Based in Portland, Oregon, KEEN is known for hybrid designs that mix the structure of a shoe with the openness of a sandal, often with protective toe caps and durable rubber outsoles. Trail-leaning shapes and rope-style laces run through the range, and the Jasper is a do-anything shoe shaped by climbing culture but built for everyday wandering. KEEN uses post-consumer plastic bottle webbing and agricultural-waste outsoles, and every shoe has been made without PFAS since 2018.
