Cotopaxi makes outdoor gear with a giving habit built in. The company puts 1% of its annual revenue into the Cotopaxi Foundation, a Utah-based nonprofit that backs poverty reduction, with a main focus on Latin America. Its best-known range is Del Día, where bags are cut from remnant, deadstock ripstop nylon, so no two are the same, even within one model. The colours are loud and patchwork-like. The Allpa travel packs take a different line: a tough 840D TPU-coated nylon shell and a full-wrap zip that opens the bag flat like a suitcase. Cotopaxi is a Certified B Corp, and if your gear has a problem, it will repair it, replace it or credit your return.
