The Flat Head takes its cues from Americana, specifically the style and attitude of the 1950s, with a modern edge added to the designs. The brand is headquartered in Nagano, Japan, and also has a presence in Tokyo through Flat Head Tokyo. All of its clothing is made in small factories in Okayama, known as "houses", where the attention to detail is described as legendary. The brand's motto is "we are particular about our clothes", and it seems to live by it. Its production techniques are something of a mystery.
