Fracap

Fracap is a family boot maker from Monteroni, in Puglia, Italy. Antonio Cappello made his first pair of shoes in 1908, producing tough boots for farmers, and the name joins the family surname with the Italian word for brothers, fratelli. The factory still stands where he started it, and the boots are still handcrafted there. Later generations tried the major welt techniques, and in the 1980s two brothers designed a military collection for the Italian Army and Air Force. Today the range centres on hiker-style boots in premium waxed leathers with Vibram soles. The M120 Scarponcino and the M128 Commando Sole Scarponcino are the best known. There's also a boot customiser and a collaboration with YMC.
