Massimo Osti

Massimo Osti was a Bologna-born designer who spent his working life taking military and workwear garments apart to see how they were made, then rebuilding them in fabrics nobody had used for clothes. Chester Perry, C.P. Company, Stone Island, Left Hand and ST95 all came out of that, and garment dyeing along the way. His name now lives on in two places: Massimo Osti Studio, an Italian clothing brand that describes its approach as functional design with material innovation and minimalist elegance, and the Massimo Osti Archive, which aims to promote his cultural identity.
