Mystery Ranch

Mystery Ranch makes packs built for people who carry heavy loads in tough places. Dana Gleason has been making packs in Bozeman, Montana since Kletterwerks in 1975, then Dana Design, and Mystery Ranch from 2000. The signature is the 3-Zip: two zips run down in a V and one down the middle, so a backcountry skier can reach the bottom of the pack without emptying the top. The label also makes packs for wildland fire crews and the military, and hunting packs built around comfort, durability and load-carrying. For everyday use, Oi Polloi stocks the Catalyst 22 and the In and Out 18, sized for days when the bag mostly holds a jumper and a flask.
