nanamica is a Tokyo brand founded in 2003 by Eiichiro Homma, who came to it after time at Goldwin and a fascination with performance fabrics. The name means "house of the seven seas". It sits between utility and ease, taking classic menswear shapes and borrowing ideas from outdoor gear. Expect GORE-TEX jackets, Alphadry cardigans, shorts and pants, plus moisture-wicking, quick-drying trousers, all built around everyday life: commuting, walking, weather, movement. The look is clean and understated, with comfort and practicality first. The brand stays away from short-lived trends and thinks long term. It has stores in Tokyo and New York, and first showed outside Japan at Pitti Uomo in Florence.
