Simmons Bilt

Simmons Bilt was born in Oakland, California, at the turn of the century, and is now revived in Dumfries, Scotland. It makes leather jackets by hand, one at a time, with a single maker working on each jacket. There are no mass-production lines here. The range draws on military and vintage styles, including motorcycle jackets, flight jackets and mid-century workwear staples. Each design uses era-accurate construction, detailing and hardware, refined a little for modern wear. The label works with respected tanneries. Its leather options include Prairie Horse Hide made in Germany, combination tanned at 1.2mm to 1.3mm, with the brown offering pull up effects. You can also find its collaborations at Rivet & Hide.
