Dehen 1920

Dehen 1920 is a family-run maker based in Portland, Oregon, and it has been at it since 1920. William Peter Dehen founded it to knit tough sweaters for college athletes. In the 1930s it was supplying local motorcycle clubs with custom knit riding sweaters, and the 1950s brought its first hand-made varsity jacket. The range now takes in varsity jackets, coach jackets, sweatshirts, wool hats and leather garments, all made in the USA. Every knit component is made in-house on vintage knitting machines. If you like sturdy, old-school American sportswear made by a family that has stuck with the same methods, this is a good label to know.
