Master-Piece makes bags in Japan, and it has been doing so since 1994, when men's casual bags were still an afterthought. It was founded in Osaka by Taichi Fujimatsu, who wanted everyday carry treated as seriously as clothing. The big step came in 2008 with BASE OSAKA, the label's own factory. Materials are tested and adjusted in-house, which is unusual for a menswear brand of that time. The range covers backpacks, shoulder bags, cross-body bags such as the Lightning, and travel pieces.
