NNormal makes trail running and hiking gear: shoes, clothing and accessories for technical, challenging terrain, with comfort and durability at the centre. It grew out of a partnership between mountain athlete Kilian Jornet and the family-owned Spanish shoemaker Camper, and launched in 2022. The name nods to where it comes from, designed in Mallorca and tested in the fjords of Norway. The brand set out to challenge the usual replacement cycle, with a "leave no trace" approach. Shoes use Vibram Megagrip outsoles, and the Kjerag has a woven Matryx upper with Kevlar yarns. The Tomir 2.0 is a good UK choice, with 5mm lugs for mud and scree.
