Pexwear

Pexwear is workwear with a proper paper trail. It began as the flagship brand of John Peck & Co., founded in Liverpool in 1816 and run from the Edge Lane factory. For over 150 years it made hardwearing garments for butchers, engineers, warehousemen and craftsmen. The company didn't survive the industrial decline of the 1970s, but its archives did, and the label has since returned. Today's range reworks original patterns for modern wear: Tradesman and Mechanics jackets, plus Chefs and Stewards trousers. Expect heavy cotton twills and a relaxed cut through the seat, thigh and chest. Take your usual size for the period drape, or size down one on the trousers for a closer line.
