Axel Arigato

Axel Arigato is a Swedish label founded in 2014 by Albin Johansson and Max Svärdh. It started online, with a digital-first approach and a wish to modernise the sneaker landscape, and has since opened physical stores. The design is grounded in Scandinavian minimalism, with a few playful details. Sneakers still lead the range, from the retro-leaning Genesis and Dice Lo to the minimalist Clean 90 and the chunky-soled Orbit. END Clothing lists the Clean 90 and Marathon Runner as fan favourites. Clothing came later: street-inflected hoodies, tees and jackets. Production is with a small number of European suppliers, mostly in Porto, and the leather is a certified by-product of the meat industry.
