Canada Goose makes winter outerwear built for serious cold. It was founded in 1957 by Sam Tick in a modest Toronto warehouse, starting with wool vests and snowmobile suits before moving into pioneering down-filling techniques. David Reiss joined in the 1970s, and the brand went on to make the Snow Mantra, Expedition and Wyndham parkas, plus a volume-based down-filling machine. Its jackets have been worn on Everest and by film crews working through cold nights. Today the range for men runs from down-filled jackets and quilted coats to warm gilets and winter caps, aimed at anyone from Arctic explorers to people on the morning commute.
