Casio

Casio is a Japanese brand that began in 1946 with a family of inventors, and it made its name by bringing technology to everyday people, first through calculators and then digital watches. In 1974 it released the Casiotron, the world's first LCD wristwatch with a fully automatic calendar. A decade later, in 1984, it introduced the first combined digital and analogue display, and its successor, the AQ-230, is still a cult favourite. The 1990s gave us the A159WGEA-1, whose case shape later returned in the Casio ring watch, a classic digital face shrunk into a waterproof metal ring. The range runs from a plain silver watch to rugged G-Shock builds.
