Floyd makes suitcases with a bit of West Coast attitude. The story goes back to two German teenagers who dreamed of Venice Beach and its skateboarding scene in the 70s. They never made the trip then, but that free-spirited mood still drives the colourful cases. Look for the quiet skateboard-style wheels, a tough outer shell and the signature orange interior with separate zip compartments. Cases are made to weigh next to nothing, which helps with baggage limits. Sizes run from Cabin to Check-In and Trunk, and the Bold packs 87 litres into a compact footprint. The Silverglider cabin case is moulded from a single piece of aluminium, with real leather handles. Its marks are meant to show character over time.
