Jacques Solovière

Jacques Solovière is a Paris footwear label, launched in 2014 by Alexia Aubert and named after her grandfather. He had a sharp sense of style that ran to tailored indoor suits and elegant slippers at home, and the shoes began as a tribute to that. The label sits between minimalist trainers and welted leather shoes: less formal than a dress shoe, a bit more considered than an ordinary lace-up. Loafers, derbies and boots share a seamless upper, made with one-piece leather construction, tongue folds and neat piping. Shoes are designed in Paris, finished in Italy and made in family-owned factories in Portugal. The aim was to make the next classic, not the next big thing.
