VEJA

VEJA is a French sneaker company that has been making shoes since 2005, and it began with a journey. Founders Sébastien Kopp and François-Ghislain Morillion travelled to understand how sneakers are made, and the name came from that trip. Veja is Brazilian Portuguese for "take a closer look". The shoes are made in Brazil and Portugal, in factories that respect workers' rights. VEJA works closely with small producers in Brazil under fair trade practices, using organic cotton, wild rubber and recycled or upcycled materials. Retro-leaning, minimal low-cut models such as the V-10 and V-12 are the ones to look at. There is also a vegan line made with corn waste laminate (C.W.L.).
